We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced leader to drive the growth of our newly relocated service at Church Street Maribyrnong.

As a Centre Manager you will:

  • Provide strong leadership in the development and ongoing operation of the centre whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licencing requirements, NQS, and all ECMS policies and procedures.
  • Lead a large team of educators to deliver an inclusive and quality early education and care service, by actively supporting their professional development, providing coaching, constructive feedback and fostering a culture that promotes a safe, professional and respectful environment.
  • Establish positive relationships with families, the community and other stakeholders to maintain multi-disciplinary service integration that promotes excellence to meet the needs of the local community and utilisation targets.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process for the service and manage cost effective monthly revenue and expenditure, including Profit & Loss reports.
  • Champion pedagogical development working closely to support the Educational Leader in line with ECMS policy, practice and requirements.
  • Be working 38 hours per week, plus an additional 2 hours to allow for a monthly RDO for full-time positions. The hours of work will extend between 6.45 am and 6.45pm

To be considered you will have:

  • A minimum Diploma in Early Childhood with a least 5 years’ leadership experience. A qualification of Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is highly desirable.
  • Substantial professional experience in education, early childhood, family, children or community services, community development or similar demonstrating the ability to run a contemporary integrated model
  • Proven experience and ability in leading, managing, engaging and developing a large team of teachers, educators and co-educators.
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality and continuous improvement and self-assessment across large teams
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to deliver critical information to a diverse audience including those with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, regulations and standards associated with the provision of early childhood services, and integrated service management.
  • Proven relationship building skills with parents, families, staff, community groups, external agencies and other levels of government.
  • A satisfactory and current Working with Children Check and Police Check or VIT registration.
