We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Nominated Supervisor to join the team at Alamanda Kindergarten! Our modern, purpose-built kindergarten located in Point Cook delivers high quality education and inclusiveness to our 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten programs that help each child realise their potential.

This rare and dynamic leadership position will give you the opportunity to inspire and drive the educational program and practice. Day to day, you will support the Nominated Supervisor in ensuring children receive the best quality care and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure this happens.  

Leading a team of approximately 26, you will be responsible for creating a workplace with high standards that supports the operations of the service. This role will be on a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months. You will work between the hours of 7.30am-5.30pm on a rotational roster.

 What will you do? 

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with parents, families, Educators and the local community to provide an inclusive and enriching play-based learning program for children.
  • Be a pedagogical leader who is motivated and driven and who can help strengthen a solid philosophy around the ECMS and Alamanda Kindergartens community values and beliefs.
  • Partake in administration duties such as injury management maintenance, QIP maintenance and child enrolment forms.
  • Work long side the Nominated Supervisor to meet the day-to-day operations and by Child Safety Compliance of the service.
  • Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis. 

 More about you! 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Strong leadship skills and experience leading a team (including as an ECT or Room Leader) with experience in implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standards and Child Safe standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing high quality and inclusive programs for children from 0-5 years.
  • Current Working with Children Check/VIT and National Police Check.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate.
