We are seeking an enthusiastic Diploma Educator to join our team at St Linus Anglican Kindergarten. We take a holistic approach to children’s learning journey. We embrace the principles, practices and learning outcomes in the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia – Belonging, Being and Becoming; and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. We acknowledge the importance of transitions for our families, and we strive to support each child and their family as they experience a time of transition with us. 

We are currently recruiting for 2 Diploma roles in the 3YO group at our centre, details below:

Role #1: AM shift. Working 13.5 hours per week. Monday 8:15am - 3:30pm, and Friday 8:15am - 2:30pm

Role #2: PM Shift. Working 10 hours per week. Monday & Friday 12pm - 5pm

 

What will you do? 

  • Work collaboratively with your team to provide an appropriate developmental and enriching program for children which maximises opportunities for them to develop to their full potential 
  • Build and maintain positive and meaningful relationships with children, families, staff and the local community 
  • Be a motivated and driven Educator, who will actively contribute to the program, through detailed observations & documentation  
  • Build positive behaviour guidance strategies and provide spontaneous play-based learning experiences to extend on children's learning 
  • Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis  

Essential criteria for a Diploma Educator: 

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification 
  • Have a sound knowledge of and experience with implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standard 
  • Experience working as an Assistant Educator in a long day care service – depending on the needs of the service this can be removed. 
  • Current Working with Children’s Check and National Police Check 
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate
